When we become unhealthy we search for care. Depending on the severity of our ailment the cost to receive that care could be substantial. As with most other insurance products the care that is provided is to protect our finances rather than provide direct health care. Health care insurance is typically designed to protect us from financial catastrophe as a result of experiencing a major illness or some other health related condition.

Eligible residence of Alberta (Click Here) are typically covered for insured hospital and physician services through the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). Supplemental health insurance programs are designed to reduce the financial cost of things as:

  • Paramedical services
  • Traveling outside the province/country
